At Dixonville Feed, we understand the land, the livestock, and the people of Roseburg and the greater Umpqua Valley — because we’ve been right here with you since 1992. We’re not some massive, corporate outfit. We’re a local, family-owned business that takes pride in supporting our agricultural neighbors with high-quality, custom-mixed feed tailored to the unique needs of your flock.

Additionally, from the rolling pastures of Garden Valley to the woodsy hills just outside Glide, we know every farm has different conditions, different challenges, and different goals. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions when it comes to sheep feed in Roseburg, OR. Instead, we work with you to craft a feed plan that’s designed to promote strong, healthy lambs and productive ewes — no matter the season or your farm’s setup.

Why Quality Feed Matters in the Umpqua Valley

Roseburg’s variable climate, with its wet winters and hot, dry summers, presents unique demands on livestock nutrition. Native forage changes throughout the year, and pastures don’t always provide consistent energy or mineral content. That’s where we come in.

Our sheep and lamb feed options are formulated to support healthy growth, strong immune systems, and efficient digestion. Whether you’re raising lambs for market, managing a breeding operation, or simply keeping a small family flock, we’ve got the right blend for your animals — and we’ll make sure it’s ready when you need it. (Just give us a call in advance — most orders take 1-2 business days to fill.)

Our Sheep Feed Options

We currently offer three dependable feed options for sheep and lambs. Each one is designed to meet a different need, and our team is happy to help you decide which blend is the best fit for your flock.

Sheep Grower

Our Sheep Grower is similar to our trusted Beef Grower formula, but it’s customized with a mineral package specifically for sheep. It’s perfect for growing lambs and can be fed at approximately 2% of the animal’s body weight per day, depending on how much pasture forage they’re already getting. This feed helps bridge the gap between what your pasture provides and what your sheep actually need—especially during key growth phases or in less productive grazing seasons.

Provider Pellets

These versatile pellets are a favorite among our customers. They’re designed to support any ruminant animal, including cattle, sheep, and goats. For lambs, especially those in the early stages or nursing, the Provider formula is a go-to. Because it’s pelleted, every bite delivers a consistent balance of nutrients. We carry Provider feed in 50 lb. bags (always in stock), and we can also sell it in bulk if needed.

Corn

Corn is a time-tested energy booster and is especially useful when it comes to flushing ewes before breeding. It helps stimulate ovulation and supports higher conception rates. Many sheep farmers in our region rely on corn to support energy needs in colder months or to help ewes regain condition post-weaning.

Custom Feed Mixing
Nutrition Built for Your Farm

Every operation is different. Maybe your sheep are on irrigated pasture near Melrose, or maybe they’re grazing up in the drier hills toward Lookingglass. No matter your situation, we’re happy to create a custom mix of grains, minerals, or supplements to match your goals.

Our team knows livestock nutrition inside and out, and we’re here to help you build a plan that makes sense for your animals, your property, and your budget. You’ll never get a generic bag of feed when what you really need is something tailored to your herd’s needs.
